Troy Main Street would like to invite Corvette Troy to participate in the 2008 Taste of Troy on September 20th from 10 am to 4 pm.  Having the Corvettes on display throughout the day was a wonderful addition to the Taste of Troy in 2007.  It would be a pleasure to have them on display again in 2008.  The Southwest quadrant of the Square in Downtown Troy will be exclusively dedicated for the Corvette Show. 

The theme for the Taste of Troy is "A Celebration of food, art, music, & fun!"  Approximately 10 to 12 locally owned restaurants will be offering a "taste" of items from their restaurants. 

We expect to have a wonderful variety of Artists participate in the Taste of Troy this year.  Oil, pastel, and water color paintings; photography, sculpture, jewelry, glass, pottery, wood, fiber, and other media will be on display and sold by local Artisans.  The Troy Arts Alliance is partnering with Troy Main Street in the promotion and organization of the Taste of Troy, and will be using the event as their "Grand Opening" to the public.  The Troy Arts Alliance is an organization created to promote the arts in Troy and surrounding areas.  Learn more at www.troyartsalliance.org

New to the Taste of Troy for 2008 will be a “Battle of the Bands” competition held at The Rec located at 11 N. Market Street.  A childrens’ activity area with a large inflatable jumpy and face painting will be located in the parking lot beside The Rec.
